The Snow has arrived

Its here! It started snowing this week so i dashed out to the shops and bought the kids suitable clothing to be able to have some fun. Last year Evie hated sledging and I think it was becasue she just got too cold. This year is a different story. We pulled the sledge around the field and she loved it.  Benji even had a try and thought it was great fun as well.  The other plus side to the snow this year is that I'm not 8 months pregnant and I can actually enjoy the snow instead of standing around watching everyone else have fun.    Today we got wrapped up and headed outside to make a snowman while Benjamin was asleep.  Evie thought is was great fun and now wants a snow family outside with Cats as well.
I'll let daddy build the rest of them.

Benjamins First Ride on a Sledge

I'm not big on Pink All-in-ones but it was the only colour they had in the shop. Evie loves it!!

The first of our Snowmen this year, I;m sure there will be many more to come.

Baby Benjamin

I love this photo I took today of Benjamin, the look on his face is precious. It just makes me think about how quickly this year has gone. Its November already and before I know it February will be here and Benji will turn 1 years old. I'm glad I get to try and capture little moments with my camera but I really wish sometimes that I had the power to make time stand still. This morning he woke up early and I brought him into our bed, within a minute he was fast asleep again. He wanted to fall asleep with his Mummy. I love the little times when he stops wriggling and wants to cuddle. Unlike his sister who is a daddys girl he really is a mummys boy.

The Favourites

Well there you are - my favourite photos from Rachael and Stuarts wedding.  I think some of them could do with a little atttention on Photoshop. Maybe that can be my project for the weekend.

Wedding Photos

A small selection of Wedding Photos, I took so many photos but I only really like a handful of them. I'll post my favourites seperately.

Halloween Fun

A cheeky little girl decorating her halloween biscuits.

Halloween crept up on us this year. As we had been in Germany the week leading up to Halloween we didn't get chance to carve our pumpkins until the day before. Evie enjoyed decorating biscuits and hollowing out her pumpkin with friends during the day. Then in the evening Richard showed off his pumpkin carving skills by creating his own masterpiece. Its the best pumpkin he has carved ever!  On the 30th we were also able to go to a church activity 'Truck or Treat' where Evie and her little friends went trick or treating around the boots of peoples cars.  We had a great time dressing up and even went trick or treating to our friends homes on our journey back from the church.  All in all a great halloween even if I didn't get the cards made this year!!

My candy corn wreath, I'm hoping it will keep for next year so I don't have to make another one.
It was hard gluing the candy corn on to the wreath when I really wanted to eat it all.  It tastes sooo GOOD!

Our spooky pumpkins. Richards, Mine and Evies. Evie wanted hers to be Bob the Blob from the Monsters Vs Aliens Movie.
Below are the many sides to Richards Pumpkin. He really did out do himself this year.

Our trick or treating costumes - Mrs Potato Head, Mini Buzz Lightyear and Woody and Jessie
A very cute Mr and Mrs Potato Head

Ham and Slinky Dog (without his slinky)  and Benji enjoying his first Lollipop.

We roasted Pumpkin seeds to eat - They tasted good.

My first attempt at dinner in a pumpkin.  It must have been good as Richard rated it in his top 5 meals that I cook! I really think thats because I put a little too much sugar in.

The week of Firsts

This week has been a week of firsts, some that are worth remembering and others not so important.

A badly focused photo but the best one I could get of my little 6 month old and his FIRST TOOTH! I'll post a better photo when I manage to get one.

A little cutie-pie in her Red t-shirt on her way to her first day at Playgroup.  She started this week and loves it. I didn't need to encourage her at all, she just runs off and shouts 'bye mummy'.

Okay so this photo represents my first week back at work as a part-time teacher.  I have to say I thought that I would worry alittle about what would be going on while i'm not at work, but its Thursday and i'm loving being at home, playing with the kids and catching up on things I wouldn't normally get done till the weekend.

Finally, this is to show that I don't just sit around and do nothing. On my First day off work (today) while Evie was a playgroup and Benjamin was having his morning nap, I put the first coat of paint on our newly plastered walls in our dining room.   Hopefully in the next few weeks our home will finally become a step closer to being complete as we work on the huge project of the dining room.

The Hungry Monster

Benjamin's first taste of carrot.  It was an experience for Mummy and Baby as we were both covered by the end.

The girl with the cutest eyes

I Love this photo, she has the biggest eyes, and i love the eye lash on her cheek.

Trial Run

Its not finished yet and now has a chimney that I don't have photos of but here are the pictures from the trial run.  Richard added a chimney after the smoke was coming out of the front alittle too much, He has also put on the first layer of cement around the sides and made a door to fit the oven.  I'm exicted to see it finished and finally get to burn the wood i've been collecting and make PIZZA!!

Little Memories

Last month Richard and I celebrated our 6 year wededing anniversary. My present arrived a few weeks ago and is a gorgeous necklace with the children's fingerprints on.  So thank you Richard for my present and for 6 years of marriage.  I'll save the soppy dedications for just Richard and spare you all.

A day at the park

We have had such nice weather over the last month so we have been making the most of it and getting out of the house.   This was one afternoon when we had a quick trip to the park. I love this park, it has so many things to entertain little ones and on this particular day they even had bouncy castles.

Camp Out

It was a few weeks ago now but I thought I would still share some photos from Evie's first camp out.  Daddy decided that he would like to sleep out in the garden with her. So she sat and watched as we both put up the tent, then she got all of her things ready and waited patiently until it was time to jump in.   She slept the whole night out there in the tent in the garden and loved it.  We will have to plan a really camping trip for her sometime in the summer.
Waiting for the tent to be ready with a torch, a teddy and bedtime story.

All ready to go to sleep.

Playing with the torch.
I think the cat wanted to join Evie and Richard in the tent.   It looked very cosy with all the blankets and pillows.

The Gang

I'm sure that in years to come our children will look back on this picture and remember some of the fun times they had together. The younger one may need reminding just a little by their parents.

Hirschis - we miss you and loved our little skype call this week. We promise to stay in contact so we can come visit you guys sometime and you can return to visit us.
