I have so much fun 5 days a week teaching little 7-8 years olds that I thought it was about time I posted some of the wonderful things we get up to. This term we have had some fun days.
First we had fun in the snow and made some great snowmen. They had all disappeared by the next day, which was really sad. We don't get enough snow here in England!

We tried our hand at writing raps. The Disco Sheep was our favourite.
The Disco Sheep danced down the street
Booging to the disco beat...
If you could read the rest of the rap the pictures would make sense.

Then it was World Book day and we all had to dress up as book characters.
I decided to be the White Witch from The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. Unfortunately I wasn't able to turn the children into ice - they were very disappointed!

We also took a trip to Bede's World - We have been learning about The Anglos - Saxons in our History topic and Bede was a famous Anglo Saxon Monk. The children all got to dress up like monks in habits and walk around the church in silence. It is the quietest I have every heard them! We should pretend to be monks everyday.
So there are many joys to being a teacher; painting disco dancing sheep and dressing as a monk are only a few of the tiny snap shots of my average week.
