Icicles - My new obsession

I've not dared to venture outside very often this week as I've been afraid of slipping in the snow and ice. Instead of going crazy being stuck indoors for so long I've started to photograph the icicles on our house and the neighbours houses. I've learned that opening the window wide and leaning out is the best way to catch some good shots. See what you think.....I'm still learning the ropes with the new camera but think i've managed okay.

I'm not sure how long these ones are but the longest we have measured is 80cm or 32inches.
They really do look amazing.
Richard stood outside trying to catch a drip falling and evetually got one.
Not an icicle - He jumped out the window onto the kitchen roof while I was taking pics,
but quickly decided to jump back in.

Awesome pics Lou. I really like the drop effect of the icicle. The cat one is supper cool. I like his eyes. You need to make the pics bigger so we can see the full effect. Vey impressive. Keep practicing.
