Richard took some extra time off work over the Easter weekend giving us 6 days to do things. Instead of spending money on a trip we decided to have days out close to home. I've got terrible itchy feet at the moment and much as I would have loved to jet off to Rome for a few days a staycation was slightly less expensive! So here are a few highlights from our Easter Holidays at home.
A ride on the Steam Train at Tanfield Railway
Riding on Rosie - The Kelly Family's Pony
Searching for the Easter Letters at Belsay Castle - we had to find the little wooden letters to spell out an Easter word then we won a little chocolate lollipop.
A day out to 'Down at the Farm' - The weather looks nice but it was freezing cold. We saw lots of animals and even held a little bunny rabbit.
We also had a small easter egg hunt in the house on Easter Sunday. Evie loved running round picking up all the eggs the Easter Bunny had left for her. Benjamin didn't quite appreciate the chocolate as much as she did but he did get a little rabbit rattle.
